EMILY V. BROWN, LMT (THEY/SHE)

Beginning her journey at the Lotus Professional College in 2022, Emily’s goal became to free the body and open the mind in an imaginative direction using informed bodywork techniques. Using deep fluid pressure, assisted stretching, Myo-fascial Release, and well-rounded intuitive touch, Emily blends many techniques to release pain and attune us to tranquility, resilience, and joy.

In her work, Emily aims to reduce stress levels and tend to our overworked bodies to help release engrained trauma and bring us back to ourselves. She is particularly drawn to using her body weight effectively to free muscular and emotional tension and will study and become certified in barefoot massage in February.

As a lifelong, dedicated artist, Emily works seamlessly between many mediums including oil painting, music, writing, and sculpture in her art studio. For her, massage is another branch of her creative practice, utilizing a keen sense of human anatomy that developed in figure drawing and a fluid balanced movement like dance. In her free time, she can be found exploring the city and the river with her partner Elliott and their border collie, Otis.

Katie Boyd, LMT (SHE/HER)

Katie has been a practicing Massage therapist for almost a decade, she graduated from Sarasota’s School of Massage Therapy in 2015 and continues her pursuit of knowledge daily. Her passions are multifaceted, as every client she works with is divinely unique. Her approach to massage is structurally informed by Myo-fascial Release techniques, focusing on alignment and bringing the body back into anatomical balance. She also works closely with subtle energy via Acupressure points and Meridian therapy to address trauma in the tissue caused by emotional excess/stagnation. Her practice is well rounded and accommodating to most people’s diverse needs.

Her love for Anatomy doesn’t stop in the treatment room, on her off days you can find her at the yoga studio, practicing and teaching. Katie believes that movement, bodywork, and energy work can help guide us all through a journey of self-discovery to better health.
